Doreen has consistently demonstrated exceptional contributions and leadership to the HR community throughout her career. She dedicated several years as an active member of the Human Resources Council’s HR Community Talent Management Steering Committee, where she was instrumental in advancing numerous community development initiatives for the benefit of HR professionals across the public service. Doreen’s outstanding leadership skills and extensive experience were pivotal in successfully managing strike activities for the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS).

Doreen continually sought innovative solutions to address people management priorities. As a mentor and coach to numerous individuals across TBS and other departments, she fostered a positive workplace environment, integrating diverse perspectives at all levels. A passionate believer in recognizing employee contributions, Doreen championed the Employee Recognition Program, highlighting achievements and building a strong workplace community. She challenged the status quo, took intelligent risks and employed evidence-based decision-making and predictive analytics to drive business activities both internally and externally with employees, colleagues and partners.

Overall, Doreen’s work had a transformative impact on TBS, leaving behind a legacy of a more engaged, efficient and inclusive organization. Her dedication to the well-being and development of her colleagues ensured a lasting positive effect on the department and its employees.
