Context
The Study of Causes and Impacts of Harassment and Discrimination of Persons with Disabilities in the Federal Public Service, recently published by OPSA, found that incidents of harassment and discrimination faced by federal employees with disabilities are often linked to requests for workplace accommodation. Take this opportunity to reflect on how we can create inclusive workplaces free of harassment and discrimination and improve our workplace accommodation processes.
Key Objectives
- Challenge biases around workplace accommodation and persons with disabilities.
- Discuss what makes an inclusive workplace culture and the role managers play in creating a welcoming and diverse workplace environment.
- Share recruitment and workplace accommodation best practices from managers across government.
