Moderator & Speakers Bios

Camille Beausoleil, a/Executive Director, National Managers’ Community (NMC), Canada School of Public Service

In May 2023, Camille was appointed as Executive Director, National Managers Community (NMC), where she will work to promote the needs and interests of federal managers to public service decision-makers. Prior to this, Camille was Assistant Director, Learning and Product Development Team within the Respectful and Inclusive Workplaces Directorate at the Canada School of Public Service. She has been with the School since 2018, having worked in various positions both operational, in Curriculum Management as part of the Registrar’s Office, and more strategic, as Chief of Staff to the Vice-president of the Public Sector Operations and Inclusion Branch.

Camille joined the federal public service in 2008, having previously worked at the Department of Canadian Heritage and the National Capital Commission, in a number of management and project management roles. Camille holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, as well as professional certification in HR Management and lives in the National Capital Region.

Tammy Kardoes – Senior Director of HR-to-Pay, Operations and Transformation, Veterans Affairs Canada

Tammy Kardoes is currently the Senior Director of HR-to-Pay, Operations and Transformation at Veterans Affairs Canada. Tammy has worked in the field of Human Resources for over twenty years in the various positions within the federal public service and has been consistently drawn to roles and projects that involve innovation, creativity, inclusivity, and collaboration. She has recently completed her Masters in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology through the University of East London in the United Kingdom. Through her studies she has discovered the importance that organizations need to place on moving from a state of functioning to flourishing which includes setting up employees and new entrants to the public service with the tools needed to be their best selves and thrive in their roles.

Daphnée Michaud, Director General of the Public Service Pay Centre & NMC Atlantic Champion

Daphnée Michaud has been the Director General of the Public Service Pay Centre since August 2016. She took over the role of the NMC Atlantic Champion in December 2022, where she gives advice and promotes the interests of the NMC in any way she can. Daphnée is an avid supporter of the Managers’ Community and was very active as co-chair of the PSPC Managers’ Community from 2004 to 2007.
