Thank you and farewell to the NMC Executive Director

It was the end of the secondment period for our Executive Director Isabelle Racine. Isabelle is starting a new adventure with Fisheries and Oceans Canada as the Senior Director, Regional Human Resources Operations beginning of February.

Isabelle has done amazing work on ensuring that the voice of managers was considered by our numerous partners when developing training or policies and making decisions that might impact managers in their roles.  She also made a tremendous effort to communicate government priorities and directives to managers, so that they would be equipped to tackle these important challenges.

The NMC secretariat and Regional leads will be here to move their activities forward and support you until we name a new executive director.

Building Diverse Leaders Program: Ontario Region

The Ontario Federal Council (OFC) and the Community of Interest on Diversity & Inclusion are pleased to announce the launch of the BUILDING DIVERSE LEADERS PROGRAM (BDLP) pilot, a grassroots talent management initiative designed for and dedicated to federal employees from designated equity groups in the Ontario Region, outside of the National Capital Region (NCR).

The BDLP aims to advance the Clerk’s Call to Action on Anti-Racism, Equity, and Inclusion in the Federal Public Service and will complement similar regional and national initiatives focusing on leadership development.

Using self-directed study, thematic seminars, mentorship, peer-to-peer learning, interdepartmental networking and coaching, the BDLP will greatly strengthen our individual and combined efforts towards a truly diverse and inclusive Federal Public Service.

Note this is a self-nomination process and the pilot cohort will include two streams: MANAGEMENT and EXECUTIVE. For instructions on how to apply, to review frequently asked questions and important information for applicants, please consult the BDLP webpage.

** We ask that you carefully review eligibility criteria. Note: as this is a regional initiative, employees located in and reporting indeterminately to the NCR will not be eligible to apply. **

For questions not addressed through the BDLP webpage and corresponding material, please contact BDLP Administrators.

The application deadline is Monday, February 13, 2023, 09:00 EST.
