This event will be offered in English only. To note simultaneous translation services we will not be include. Participants will be able to submit their questions in the language of their choice and a moderator will help with translation.

Peer Coaching Circles led by trained facilitators support their peers and organizations through the peer coaching circle process to enhance problem solving and develop leadership skills.

The Interest Minded Leader 
This session will take leaders on a journey from being stuck on positions to identifying interests. Through their exploration, leaders will learn ways of engaging authentically and approaching difficult conversations with interest.

Speakers Bios

Julie Wills
Julie Wills

Julie Wills recently joined the National Managers’ Community as the Regional Lead for the National Capital Region (NCR). Julie’s home organization is Justice Canada, where she has held various management and supervisory roles in the learning and professional development area. Transformative work experiences have included being the resource person for Justice’s Advisory Committee on Indigenous Peoples and managing the National Mentoring Program. She is a certified EQ-i 2.0 coach, and is in the process of obtaining her International Coaching Federation certification through the Adler Graduate Professional School. She is passionate about playing an advocacy, communication and coaching role to serve managers across the federal government.

Karen Wilmot
Karen Wilmot

Karen Wilmot is the Prairie Region Culture Ambassador for the Canada Border Services Agency where she is helping to support culture transformation on a regional and national level. She has more than a decade of experience in various leadership roles. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Victoria and a Master of Public Administration from Dalhousie University. Karen works to promote an empathetic and people-centric leadership practice. She has training in Character-Based Leadership and is currently completing her Human Systems Dynamics Practitioner certification. Over the last 18 months, Karen has become a professional-amateur Peer Coaching Circle facilitator through the National Managers’ Community.
