NMC Managers Connect 2024 – Trois-Rivières

To make it easier for you to get to our event, we’ve set up a document on GCXchange. Whether you’re coming from Montreal, Quebec City, Sherbrooke or other nearby cities, you can now share the road with other participants.  If you are not already registered on GCXchange, here is the link to register.

Here’s how it works:

2. Register if you can offer seats or need transportation.
3. Coordinate with other participants to arrange car-sharing.

Marie-Josée Rouleau joined the DFO-CCG Labour Relations Centre of Expertise as National Director in March 2024.  She previously held the position of the Regional Director, Integrated Business Management Services (IBMS) for the Canadian Coast Gard.

Marie-Josée began her career in the Federal Public Service in the Human Resources Branch of the Canadian Space Agency in 1993. She then joined DFO in January 2000 as Regional Manager, Compensation and Benefits . Over the years, she has held various positions of increasing responsibility in the field of Labour Relations as well as Regional Director of Human Resources. More recently, Marie-Josée led the national departmental staffing team as Director. She has also held various executive positions on an interim basis within our department such as Ombuds and Director of the Ombuds’ Office, Manager of Organizational Transformation for the National Center of Expertise for Real Property, Associate Regional Director General.

In addition to her regular duties, Marie-Josée is involved in the workplace as, among other things, a mentor, a facilitator for the Management Exploration Program, a facilitator for the Canada School of Public Service.

Marie-Josée holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Quebec.

Sylvie Asselin obtained a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1990 and a master’s degree in marine ecology from Laval University in 1992. She joined Public Services and Procurement Canada (PWGSC) in 2001 as an environmental project manager after having worked in this field for 9 years in private industry.

Since April 2022, Ms. Asselin has held the position of Regional Director of Professional and Technical Services at PSPC. From 2017 to 2022, she was Regional Director of Accommodation and Portfolio Management also at PSPC. Previously, she held various management and executive positions, particularly in the areas of the environment and customer services. She has extensive experience in operations, human and financial resources management.
